The Press Center of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), located in the Media Center Hotel in Beijing, has opened on 11 October. Services such as press cards releasing and coordination for interviews as well as congress coverage are available now.
The Center consists of a press hall, several interview rooms, a New Media Newsroom, audio and video signals rooms, an internet center, a photo service room, and a medical room. The Center provides services such as: organization of press briefings, reporting tours and interviews of different types, as well as information and technical support. It has an official website and WeChat account and provides Tea & Coffee (western-style snacks and free refreshments ).
Improvements have been made in various areas compared with the previous congresses. An interview application website for foreign journalists has been opened. Media desks have been increased from 46 to 170. Information rooms have been increased from 2 to 4. Network bandwidth has been upgraded to 1000M with 218 network connectors. A New Media Newsroom has been set. A more interactive and better information service is provided on WeChat.
The center is looking forward to giving all journalists more convenience and pleasing experiences.
